Harvest 2008
This has been a milestone harvest for Covenant, as we have moved our production up to the Napa Valley. This year we started picking on August 31 for our new Chardonnay “Lavan” program out of the famous Bacigalupi Vineyard in the Russian River Valley. Our RED C Cabernet grapes from the Young Vineyard in St. Helena were picked October 2. Nine days later we brought in several tons of Cabernet from Leslie Rudd’s Mt. Veeder and Oakville Vineyards—which will be bottled as “Solomon’s Vineyard”—a reference to Leslie’s Hebrew name. On October 13, we harvested the last of our grapes, finishing up the harvest with our Larkmead Vineyard Cabernet for Covenant.

The weather has been gorgeous and all of our grapes have reached peak maturity.
