Made from a single vineyard on a hilltop overlooking the cool, Carneros region of Napa, this wine serves up a distinctly Burgundian profile with bright cherry overtones backed by hints of herb, earth and spice. It’s also made from a single Dijon clone—clone 667—which was developed in Burgundy and is known to produce elegantly balanced wines with great finesse.

Also made from a single vineyard—but this one in Lodi, east of Napa Valley. Lodi is well known for Zinfandel, which has been farmed there for 150 years. Some of those early “old vines” are still visible today, producing minute amounts of intensely flavored grapes. Our wine is richly textured and lush, with a core of plum, chocolate and raspberry notes all framed in exotic spices.

We sourced the grapes for this lovely wine from two vineyards: a tiny 1-acre parcel owned by friends in the Napa Valley, and the other vineyard farther north at Mendocino’s highly regarded Eaglepoint Ranch. After fermenting with native yeast in open-top bins, we blended the two vineyards for aging in barrels. The result is a gorgeous Rhone-style wine redolent of strawberry, spice, earth tones, leather and black pepper.
